Great Project

This looks like a great project. I'll be working with my son (13) on his second craft. The first was the infamous 4'disk+leaf blower, which certainly had enough power to get lift off, but was limited by cord length. Now we're in pursuit of gas powered leaf blowers for a 4'x8' variant.

Will submit the form for plans, as he's too young to have a student ID. Meanwhile we'll have a go at this new project.

Cheers -- Tony

European Hovercrafts

hello fellow hovercraft builders,

I'm a student from europe and i'm in an hovercraft raceteam for two years now. We are coming out in the formula S and we have friends flying formula 1, 2 and 3. Í have looked at the amerikan designs and i have some sugestions for you.

The Amerikan hovercrafts are only build for speed and thats why they always lose the races from the Europeans. The Europeans are also build for the steering. Amerikan hovercrafts are (maybe) the quickest on the strait, but they lose much time when steering is needed. My advice is the look to the European Hovercrafts for the handeling of your hovercraft and take the speed of the amerikan hovercrafts. Maybe the Amerikans can win one time ;-).

Hoverman ...

Do you have any decent links to European plans so that we can learn something about their designs and steering?

Hi I am a 30 yr old uni student and seem to fall outside of the registration criteria. A collegue and myself want to build a 3/4 seater hovercraft and a personal submersible for our final year projects. Anyone got any plans or links to free plans.....Money is tight...
